Kindred: First Draft with Sophie Ross

Tuesday 8:00pm

Seated arena event

Kindred with Sophie Ross

Description

A first look at songs and sketches from local singer/songwriter Sophie Ross’ brand new comedy: on the theme of adult friendship.

Bring your friends, or… she might even help you make some while you’re here.

The Lights has been delighted to support local creative Sophie Ross over the summer when she held a Friendship workshop at the venue as research to find out more about what friendship means to people of all different backgrounds, ages and life experiences.  The material from this and other workshops across the region have helped Sophie to develop a new show - Kindred.  Come and enjoy the first draft of the show - you might laugh, you might cry, and you will definitely feel warm and fuzzy supporting the development of local grass roots culture.

Come and support Sophie as she shares her first draft of the show - a unique work in progress, and at the same time help to support local creativity.

This is a seated arena event and entry is free.  Sophie will carry out a charity bucket collection during the evening if you would like to donate.  The monies from this bucket collection will go to MIND.

Praise for Sophie Ross:

"She has a real Tim Minchin feel to her."

"Victoria Wood eat your heart out."

"You have an unerring ability to make me cry."

"Cracking wit and charisma"
