We are back from 27 September!!
Message from the Venue Director:
The curtain is about to go up! The stage is set for The Lights theatre to re-open with its first indoor auditorium show since lockdown. Comedian Omid Djalili will be live on stage on 28 September with his aptly entitled Good Times Tour, paving the way for a packed autumn-winter season featuring drama, comedy, music, magic and more.
Since December last year, the venue has been incredibly proud to be able to assist in the drive to combat the pandemic by playing host to the local GP led Vaccine Clinic. The Lights is first and foremost a community hub, and it meant that we were able to continue to serve you - our customers, our community, even in the most challenging of times. Life is changing again however, with people and businesses beginning to pick up the traces of normality, so we are therefore delighted to be in a position where we can throw open our doors again for entertainment, arts and fun.
The support and words of encouragement we have received from our patrons since March, 2020 has been amazing and uplifting, and we are delighted to be able to announce our full return. A brand new bumper brochure will be out soon, our website is brimming with shows, the cakes and coffee in the Arena café will be freshly made, and our staff and volunteers will be back in the swing of things ready to welcome your return from Monday, 27 September.
The landscape around us may still be a little changeable, but you can be assured that our usual customer service and friendly faces remain the same. We want your experience at The Lights to be a positive one and we cannot wait to be able to welcome you back.
For more information about the changes we have made visit the Be Covid-19 Safe page on our website: www.thelights.org.uk/visiting/covid-19 which also contains information about our Covid-19 refund policy to help ensure peace of mind for customers when booking future shows. You don’t just need to take our word for it, as the venue is also accredited with The Society of London Theatres and UK Theatres ‘See It Safely’ kite mark, in recognition of the steps we have taken to make the venue Covid secure.
